Memberships for 2022-23

The club executive committee met to define the budget for season 2022-23 and approved our membership packages. At least 50% of the club's operational running costs are met via the membership fees. Therefore it is vital that existing members maintain any existing direct debits or renew their membership payment plan as early as possible to allow the club to effectively track our finances. The new season memberships will run from July 1st 2022 to June 30th 2023. If you have a direct debit please keep this going and we will auto-enrol you for the 2022-23 season. Please also ensure your direct debit has not expired.

Like you the club faces rising running costs. We are doing everything we can to hold membership prices in check. As well as paying your membership promptly you can help to meet our goals by introducing new players to the club, finding new sponsors or volunteering (admin, events, team management and coaching)

Important: Membership is not the same as competition registration. Any player at U13s and above must register via sportlomo each year with the IRFU to be able to be named on the teamsheet for competitive matches. Any player not having arranged a membership payment plan will not have their registration approved by the club.

Family Friends of North Meath (FoNM) 5EUR/week (52 weeks)/family (unchanged from 2021-22)

The FoNM membership plan was ratified by our members at an EGM in 2017/18. (See the youtube explanation here). Club members voted to pay an enhanced family membership (2 adults and up to 4 dependents under 18) to allow the club to take out a 100,000 EUR loan from the IRFU for club development. The club has to repay 10,000 EUR/yr and this would not be possible without this additional FoNM support beyond a standard membership. In return we make all our 6 nations tickets in Categories 2 to 4 exclusively available by first refusal to FoNM members (via lottery at face value, plus any admin fees). Ticket allocations vary not least because there are 2 or 3 home matches/yr, but last year every FoNM who applied was offered a pair of 6 nations tickets. To our knowledge this is one of the most inclusive ticket allocation policies in the province and a key differentiator for the club. We also enter every FoNM into a Christmas draw (For 2021-22 the top prize was 500EUR). We are counting on as many FoNMs as we can to keep the club financially viable. FoNM is open to non players also.

Sponsor FoNM (360 EUR/yr, unchanged from 2021-22)

Why not sponsor the club? Sponsor a pitch sign via your company and receive 1 free family FoNM membership. Pitch sign stays in place as long as the payments are made. NMRFC will refresh the sign every 3 years. Invoices in the company name can be provided on request. If you can provide a more substantial contribution please get in touch regarding premium sponsorship packages on offer.

Basic Memberships

Since the introduction of FoNM we have listened to those who are struggling financially or those who have just joined and are deciding whether rugby is for them. For these groups we offer a basic membership, but to be clear the club is not financially viable without the support of our FoNM members. If you can contribute more, please do so. Basic memberships confer full voting rights per playing member but no access to FoNM benefits.

Basic memberships are offered now for all age categories:

Adult Basic Member (New): 180 EUR/season

Youth Basic Member U13-U18 (Unchanged): 150EUR/season

Mini Basic Memberships U6 to U12 (Reduced!): 140EUR/season

3rd level Students: 50EUR/season

Associate Members: 50EUR/season
